F Bar

Installed in the very center of Montreal's Quartier des Spectacles, The ''F bar'' first gets noticed by the architecture of the building. With the shape of a completely modernized and avant-garde type of...Aquarium! Very long and narrow, the three dimensional rectangular shape of the restaurant is entirely covered in windows. Designed by Daoust Lestage, this 45-seat restaurant is absolutely unique and fun.

The F bar is Carlos Ferreira's third restaurant and is distinguished by the very refined Portuguese kitchen. This dining experience is affordable, the chef Gilles Herzog want to offer his clients a trip to the Mediterranean with olive oil as the vehicle. Typical European dishes on the menu include: Lamb burgers with a cucumber/yogurt sauce, the beef filet mignon served with a polenta, caramelized onions and olives and the fresh cod fish with red peas, smoked paprika oyster mushrooms tied together with a foie gras broth. The deserts are equally fantastic and VERY exotic. The Natas which are kind of what would resemble the filling of a creme brulée inside a a puff pastry, seasoned with cinnamon and accompanied with a pear sort is simply delightful. The prices of the entrées vary from 19$ to 32$. There is definately something for everyone!

The service is friendly and very well informed, just grab someone with a black Lacoste polo to answer any of your questions.

Happy Dining!
